The patented process is based upon a mechanical separation, which enables the recycling of the entire turf system while avoiding waste products. Re-Match's technology cleans the components into a level of purity where the sand, rubber, backing and fibre effectively can be used in the production of new high quality synthetic turf or replace virgin material in other production cycles.
Re-Match is the first recycling company in the world to have developed a separation process that makes it possible to clean and recycle 99 percent of the old synthetic turf. The separation is a mechanical process. The used artificial turf runs through several separation steps, where we use both air and sieving to separate the materials.
In addition, Re-Match uses separation tables and gravity to separate the individual components and remove waste. Re-Match’s advanced separation technology is tested thoroughly for the cleanliness of the end-product and the efficiency of the process.
Once the Re-Match process is complete, the clean, secondary raw materials are ready for use in production and installation of new synthetic turf – completing the life cycle and making it a-cradle-to-cradle solution.
